New Covenant Center 2024 Harvest Table

Meet Robert and Kimberly, two inspiring individuals from Stamford who have faced incredible challenges and found hope and support at New Covenant Center.

Robert shares his journey of loss, resilience, and ...
perseverance. After caring for his mother through her battle with dementia, he became homeless when he couldn't stay in her apartment after her passing. For nearly a year, Robert lived in his car, seeking meals at New Covenant Center. Thanks to Yvette and the Center’s resources, he found shelter and eventually secured his own one-bedroom apartment, marking a new chapter in his life.

Kimberly, a lifelong Stamford resident, faced unimaginable hardships after the loss of her mother, a separation from her spouse, and the struggle of raising her young children alone. New Covenant Center has been her anchor, providing food, counseling, and emotional support. Despite her fears, Kimberly is determined to move forward for the sake of her children, who still see the world with innocence and joy.

Their stories are powerful reminders of the strength of community and the impact of compassion.
