Fairfield County

Catholic Charities of Fairfield County cannot directly place people in housing; all individuals must be referred to our supportive services through 2-1-1.

Conger Housing
Conger Program is a scattered-site, permanent, supportive housing program for 9 formerly homeless single adults living with HIV/AIDS, a specific fragile medical condition, substance abuse, or co-occurring disorder. Each applicant accepted for residency into the program is homeless, chronically homeless, or living in substandard conditions. All tenants are linked to available community resources and receive intensive case management to support their economic stability, overall good health, and well-being. Connecticut Collaborative on Re-Entry (CCR)
Merton Homes
Merton Homes is located in the Hollow neighborhood of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Merton Homes is a Permanent Supportive Housing Program (PSH). These formerly homeless families, are disabled, may have aged out of DCF services, or victims of Domestic Violence. Families are selected from the Coordinated Access Network (CAN) and are encouraged to engage in on-site intensive case management services. Merton Homes property manager and CCFC case managers work closely to provide a safe, clean, and productive environment for all 22 families. For more information please call 2-1-1 info line.

Rebuilding Lives: Empowering Futures through Housing Case Management
After facing several challenges including homelessness, Mr. McNeill was matched with the CCR program. CCR offers strengths-based case management and permanent housing for individuals with histories of chronic homelessness and incarceration. With the support of this program, Mr. McNeill found a lifeline in Catholic Charities.
